Terms & Conditions
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of onhollies (the “Service”), available at onhollies.com.au. The Service is operated by Jesse Paul Lawson (ABN 74 487 718 335), trading as onhollies (“we”, “us”, or “the operator”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. What onhollies provides
onhollies displays school holiday, public holiday, show day, and related date information for Australian states and territories. The information is provided for general informational and planning purposes only.
3. Accuracy of information
We take care to source date information from official state and territory government sources, and to calculate holiday periods accurately from published school term dates. However:
- Dates are provided in good faith and may contain errors or omissions, or become out of date.
- Government authorities may change, add, or remove dates at any time, including at short notice.
- Some dates are provisional or subject to confirmation by the relevant authority.
You should not rely solely on onhollies for decisions that matter. Always verify dates with your school or the relevant government authority before making travel bookings, financial commitments, or other plans that depend on them. onhollies is not a substitute for official sources.
4. Weather information
Some parts of the Service show current weather, supplied by a third-party service (Open-Meteo). Weather is shown as a convenience, is indicative only, and may be unavailable or inaccurate. It is not a forecast to rely on for planning, and your use of it is subject to the “no warranties” and liability terms below.
5. No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense — including missed bookings, financial loss, or disrupted plans — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or the information it contains.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to re-supplying the relevant information or the reasonable cost of doing so.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the Service to view and look up holiday information for your own personal or business planning. This does not restrict legitimate search-engine indexing carried out in accordance with our robots.txt. You must not:
- use automated means (scraping, crawlers, bots) to extract data from the Service in bulk;
- copy, reproduce, or republish a substantial part of the compiled dataset, whether or not for commercial purposes; or
- present the Service’s information as your own or in a way that suggests official endorsement.
8. Intellectual property
The individual dates shown on onhollies are factual information drawn from government publications and are not owned by us. However, the design, layout, code, original written content, and the particular selection and arrangement of information that make up the Service are the property of the operator and are protected accordingly. You may use the Service as set out in these terms, but not otherwise.
9. Third-party links
The Service may link to external websites, including government sources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of those sites, and a link does not imply endorsement.
10. Availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time without notice. We don’t guarantee the Service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the “last updated” date shown above. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part will be removed and the rest will continue to apply.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
